Part of AI Automation

Review engine

Automated review requests after job/appointment completion.

When a job or appointment is finished, the customer gets a short message asking for a review, with a direct link to your Google Business Profile. If they don't get round to it, one reminder follows a few days later, and then it stops.

Asking every time is the part most businesses skip. Not because they don't want reviews, but because nobody remembers to ask once the work is done.

The problem

Happy customers rarely review without being asked.

Reviews tend to come from people who were delighted or annoyed. Customers who were simply happy with the job don't think of it unless someone asks, ideally while the work is still fresh.

Asking by hand works for a week and then slips. Automating the ask is what makes it happen after every job, not just the ones someone remembered.

How it works

From finished job to review link.

  • 01

    The job is marked done

From a list of completed jobs you share with us, or automatically where your job or booking software lets us see it.

  • 02

    The request goes out

A short email in your name with a one-tap link to your Google review form, sent soon after the work rather than weeks later.

  • 03

    One reminder, then it stops

Anyone who hasn't responded gets a single follow-up. Anyone who replies, reviews or opts out isn't contacted again.

  • 04

    Everyone is asked

Every finished customer gets the same request, not a hand-picked few. Google's policies don't allow selectively asking for positive reviews, and we don't build it that way.

Two ways to start

Sending is simple. Knowing when to send depends on your software.

Writing, scheduling and sending review requests is straightforward to build. Firing the moment a job is closed depends on whether your job or booking system will tell us, which is why there are two starting points.

  • From a list

A regular export of completed jobs or appointments. Quick to set up, and it works whatever software you use.

  • Automatically from your system

Where your software makes completed jobs available through an API, requests can go out on their own. Whether yours does is something we check before quoting.

  • Your Google Business Profile

The requests point at your profile, so it needs to be set up properly. If it isn't, that work sits under our Websites service.

FAQ

Review engine, answered straight.

Review requests

  • Can I only ask the customers I know were happy?

No. Google's review policies prohibit selectively asking for positive reviews, and a profile made up only of glowing reviews is less believable anyway. Every finished customer is asked the same way.

  • Can we offer a discount in return for a review?

No. Google doesn't allow incentivised reviews, and breaking its rules puts your profile at risk. The request is a plain, polite ask.

  • Can the requests go by text message?

Email is the starting point. Texts need an SMS provider connecting to your setup, which we scope separately rather than assume.

  • What about bad reviews?

They happen to every business, and replying to them well is part of looking after the profile. The point of asking everyone is that the customers who were happy get heard too, so one bad experience isn't the only thing a searcher reads.
